Epic Universe: Celestial Park

We finally get to share our experiences from EPIC Universe — and we are beyond excited! This incredible park features five immersive worlds, each with its own environment, music, food, and personality. In this post, we’re diving into the first world you step into: Universal’s very own original IP, Celestial Park.💫

First Impressions

When you enter EPIC Universe, you step into a breathtaking landscape set amongst the stars. Celestial Park was designed from the ground up by Universal, and it absolutely shines. With themed soundtracks playing throughout (we’re calling it the “overworld” music, gamer-style), the atmosphere is nothing short of magical. Think epic symphony meets steampunk — it’s dreamy, bold, and immersive.

They have truly succeeded in putting the “park” back in “theme park.”

They’ve truly put the “park” back in “theme park.” Benches, trees, gorgeous fountains, and carefully designed landscaping give it a welcoming, relaxing vibe. The space and steampunk elements add a slightly “alien” touch we couldn’t get enough of.

At the heart of Celestial Park is the stunning Helios Grand Hotel, complete with a glowing statue of Helios. It overlooks the entire park and sits beside a large fountain that will host water shows. There’s even a splash pad for the kids (and let’s be real, adults too).

Constellation Carousel

Type: Carousel

Height Requirement: None – Children under 48″ must be accompanied by a supervising companion

This is no ordinary carousel. The celestial-themed creatures you ride are powered by stardust and dance to original music that changes each time you ride. Visually stunning with intricate artwork and a glowing canopy, this ride sometimes even reverses mid-spin. It’s creative, whimsical, and a perfect centerpiece for the land.

Stardust Racers

Type: Racing Coaster – Thrill

Height Requirement: 48″

WOW. This dual-track racing coaster immediately made our top ten list. It feels like you’re racing comets through a galaxy, with a breathtaking double launch and a sweeping view over the park. (If you get a chance to look as you are whizzing by…) Each track is a different experience, and we found ourselves preferring the green one (for reasons we cant quite explain).

“Stardust Racers” has made my top ten list. It is definitely my #1 racing coaster, and perhaps, the #1 coaster in Orlando!

The ride is smooth, fast, and full of surprises. The soundtrack is incredible, and the twisting moment where you spin around the opposing train is a favorite.

✅Bonus: Thanks to its dual-track setup, the line moved quickly, and we were able to ride multiple times during our visit.

Food

We tried Pizza Moon and Frosty Moon during our visit. Pizza Moon uses mobile ordering with table delivery — a game-changer! The pizzas are actually the size of a medium pie (we made the mistake of ordering five thinking they were personal… no regrets). The Margherita pizza was a favorite.

The interior of Pizza Moon is wild — it gives off a total Smashing Pumpkins music video vibe (shoutout to our fellow ’90s kids).

Frosty Moon had a small menu—whether that’s just for the preview period or by design, we’re not sure. We tried the cheesecake and strawberry-flavored ice cream and loaded up on toppings. Honestly, the toppings were the star of the show! I went with brownie bites and shortcake, and they tasted fresh and absolutely delicious.

Only a few restaurants were open during our preview, but we’re looking forward to checking out Oak & Star Tavern, Meteor Astropub, several themed bars, and of course, Starbucks.

Merchandise

The main gift shops offer merch from all the worlds in EPIC Universe, but there are also smaller stands with items themed to each portal. It’s well done and not overly pushy. It feels like browsing fun vendor booths in a beautiful park, not an in-your-face shopping spree.

Details We Loved

✅️Seating Galore: There’s plenty of seating around the fountains, plus shaded benches and covered tables.
💧Hydration Stations: Water bottle fillers and fountains are thoughtfully placed around the park — staying hydrated was easy!
✨The lighting. As night falls, the entire land sparkles — with elegant chandeliers, stunning light fixtures, and ambient glows even beneath your feet. It all comes together to make you feel like you’re walking among the stars.
🎶 The music. We mentioned it before, but it truly sets the tone for Celestial Park. With rich steampunk symphony vibes, the soundtrack adds depth and emotion to the experience — they absolutely nailed it. We’d buy the soundtrack if they released it!

Final Thoughts

Celestial Park is a truly magical entry point into EPIC Universe. It’s visually stunning, fun to explore, and full of hidden gems we can’t wait to discover more of. This world set a high bar for the rest of the park, and we are so excited to share more from the other lands soon.
