1. Free Water – Stay Hydrated Without Spending a Dime

💧I refuse to pay for theme park water. Staying hydrated is essential, and luckily, Disney and Universal have several bottle-filling stations. Most quick-service venues will also provide a free cup of water if you ask.

My collapsible water bottle has been my favorite purchase—it’s inexpensive, easy to carry on my fanny pack or lanyard, and keeps me hydrated without the extra cost.

2. Mobile Apps – Your Best Planning Tool

Most major parks have their own mobile apps, and they’re game-changers for planning your day. These apps are packed with essential tools like:
✔️ Mobile food ordering & payments
✔️ Live wait times & wait time alerts
✔️ Virtual queues & interactive maps

💡 Pro Tip: Set up your account before you arrive so you’re familiar with the app and have your payment methods saved for quick mobile ordering. Which brings me to our next hack:

3. Mobile Food Ordering – Skip the Lines!

I was skeptical at first, but now I swear by it! Both Disney and Universal offer mobile food ordering, and it’s a total game-changer. Simply start your order while in line for a ride, select your arrival time, and place the order. Once you get to the restaurant, tap “I’ve arrived, prepare my order”—no waiting in line! Just grab your food and enjoy. Some Universal locations even deliver it straight to your table.

4. Single Rider Line – If You Don’t Mind Splitting Up

🎢 If you don’t mind splitting up, use the Single Rider Line where available—it can significantly cut your wait time!

You’ll stay together in line until boarding, then get placed in empty seats to fill ride vehicles efficiently. Sometimes, we even end up on the same train—or just a ride or two apart!

🚦Heads Up: Some rides skip immersive queue details in Single Rider, so if it’s your first time, consider going through the standby line first!

5. Visit on Weekdays & Off-Season for Fewer Crowds

This may seem like an obvious hack. But, if you can swing it, plan your trips for weekdays and off-peak seasons. You’ll enjoy smaller crowds, lower prices, and cooler weather—making for a much more relaxed and fun experience.

💡Bonus Tip: Go with the Flow

Prioritize your must-do attractions first to avoid long waits or unexpected closures, then explore from there. Keep an eye on wait times and enjoy the moment!
